WHAT TO EXPECT
If you are ready to support your body and allow it to heal as it was designed to, then Roam Chiropractic is here to help you along your journey to holistic health and wellness. Since we want to ensure we have enough time to focus on you without interruptions, we require an appointment for the first visit, however, walk-ins after that can be accomodated most of the time.
1
BEFORE YOUR VISIT
After scheduling your appointment, you can either fill out the New Patient Paperwork by printing and filling them out at home to save you time in office or you can fill them out when you arrive. We ask that you provide as much detail to your paperwork about your specific issues you are experiencing. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early if you intend on filling out the paperwork in the office. Below will answer some of your questions about your first visit.
2
Your FIRST VISIT
During your initial appointment, you will complete an full health history and we discuss your health care needs. This will help us understand and listen to your wellness goals. We will cover not only your current issues but where you want to go in the future with your health and any questions you have about chiropractic care, health or our office.

Following your health history, posture and spinal analysis including chiropractic examination consisting of the necessary physical, neurological, muscular and orthopedic tests. This examination will inform us if any referrals to other health care professionals or x-rays are needed as well as help us sculpt a treatment plan specifically for you. This initial visit usually takes around one hour to complete.
REFERRAL FOR X-RAYs OR ADDITIONAL TESTS
X-rays are to provide information that will help to determine the course of treatment and care. They provide insight into the integrity of the bone, alignment and our approach for adjusting and your care. If it x-rays are needed, you will be referred to a local radiology facility to assist with this step. We often use Touchstone Imaging in Edmond but can also refer you Integris, Mercy, or SSM Health if you prefer. Once we receive your x-rays and the corresponding radiology reports, Dr. Kristina will review them and call you to schedule your next appointment.
First Adjustment
The first adjustment may or may not be performed on the first visit. This is determined on an individual basis, depending on results and findings from the examination and if x-rays or additional testing is needed.
2
YOUR SECOND APPOINTMENT
During your second appointment, a report of findings will be given which is a comprehensive review of your examination, x-rays (if they were taken), and treatment plan. This will provide insight into the reason you are seeking chiropractic care and the path to take in addressing that. Each report of findings is personalized to your lifestyle, results from the examination and specific issue.

A treatment plan will be gone over together which is a roadmap to your care, progress and plan of action. It will included a recommendation of frequency of care, additional therapies that are recommended as well as nutritional advice (if needed) and at-home exercises to aid in your progress. Please note that this visit will take approximately 30 minutes. If you were not adjusted during your first appointment due to x-rays or addtional tests were needed, then your first adjustment will be completed during this visit.
3
routine adjustments
After your first two visits, you will progress to regular adjustment appointments which will consist of any therapies that are recommended and your adjustment. These appointments are usually about 15-20 minutes in duration. We do recommend having an appointment or giving us a call prior to arriving but often we can accommodate walk-ins.
